Coach Mike Munchak confirmed that the Titans have every intention of adding a veteran quarterback "that can come in and win." Munchak is eyeing a quarterback "capable of both teaching and potentially starting." "We’re not looking for a guy that’s not capable of starting and winning games for us," said Munchak. "We need someone that can come in here and win, and then have a nice competition between him and Jake Locker and Rusty (Smith)." The Titans aren't on the lookout for a third-string type veteran. If it isn't Matt Hasselbeck, Donovan McNabb and perhaps Marc Bulger should be high on their list. Source: John Glennon: Twitter.com
I wouldn't dismiss a Billy Volek-Titans reunion....... Munchak knows Volek well when he was the offensive line coach and Volek would still know the system. Volek put up pretty solid numbers in 2004 in Tennessee when Steve McNair was injured. And he would be much cheaper than Hasselbeck, Bulger and McNabb.
I might consider disowning this team if McNabb ever ended up wearing a Titans uniform. Hell, I'd sign Billy Volek back wayyyyyy before McNabb.
yeah im not a big mcnabb fan either, but i wouldnt be too upset i really really want Hassle.....but if that doesnt happen, i would be happy with Volek or Bulger......Mcnabb, last resort....haha....after that UGH.....i just dont want them throwin Locker to the wolves
As opposed to bringing in a quarterback that will come in and lose? Hey! Where's Aaron Brooks at? Someone go get him, please!
first name that came to mind was lord favre. but i could see them going with hasselbeck or mcnabb...mcnabb would actually be a pretty good fit
