Titans running back Chris Johnson has watched Usain Bolt in the Olympics, and like everyone else, he’s been blown away. “He is a great athlete,†Johnson told Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. “I think he’ll be the best track athlete ever to compete in the Olympics.†Still, Johnson says he could beat Bolt in a race — at least in a short race. “I feel like if I would have kept training for track I’d have a chance, but I play football and he runs track, so it’s totally different,†Johnson said. “I think I could still probably beat him in the 40. If I actually trained for the distance he trained for, I think I’d have a chance.†“Training for football, we do a lot of short sprints — we do 40s and 50s and things like that. We don’t really train like track athletes,†Johnson said. “If a track athlete tried to come play football it would be totally different (for Bolt).†Source: The Redzone
I read something a while back that had Bolt in the 4.2-4.3 "NFL Combine" range...it was all speculation...
yeah ive seen like virtual displays of how he would be in the first 40 yards, thats not his game. He hits full stride and hes incredibly fast, but hes a known long strider. Even if he was in the 4.2-4.3 range thats not "crushing" chris johnson. if there was a race id bet on johnson to win the 40, bolt would smoke him in a 100m tho
