Titans’ second-year running back, Chris Johnson, joked Wednesday after practice that he intends to launch an MVP campaign soon. “Of course I should be in the conversation,†he said. “And I’m about to start a campaign, an MVP campaign. Everything. When is the voting?†And while he expects the Titans to fulfill the prophecy he offered after the Titans' first win that they would win 10 in a row and make the playoffs, he said it shouldn’t have to come true for him to win the honor. “I don’t understand that,†he said “MVP, that’s an individual goal, that’s not a team goal. Last year, my team, we had a first-round bye, went to the playoffs and all that and they still gave Matt Ryan [offensive] rookie of the year. So it shouldn’t have to go on how good your team is doing.†Source: ESPN.com
Peyton??? bwahahahahahahaha if he wins you know everything is rigged. Talent alone CJ should be in it.
he hits 2000 or breaks Faulks all purpose record and doesn't win then that will be pure BS crap 1900 should be good enough
well, right now, there are 2 qb's with qb ratings over 112 (brees and favre).................... i wonder if a qb has ever finished 112 and NOT won mvp if c.j. ends up getting it?
I think he would have to break the rushing record to do that, but I can see Brees taking it this year
I'd say it's either Favre or Johnson... who deserve the award most based upon the seasons their having. But if Titans don't crack the playoffs I doubt he will get it.
