The NFL picked a doozy to kick off the season. Of all the possibilities, the powers-that-be chose a game between the reigning Super Bowl champions and the team that compiled the best regular-season record in the league last year. "I can't think of a better way to start the season," Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch said. The Titans are planning to play far more than just a supporting role in this NFL mini-drama. "Winning the opener against the Steelers would be the ideal way to get things started," linebacker Keith Bulluck said. Coach Jeff Fisher refers to the NFL's 16-game season as a marathon. An opening-game loss would not diminish expectations over the longer haul. "We have to be careful not to put too much on one game because it's a long season and there's so much football to play," Fisher said.
