Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt is big enough, fast enough, and talented enough to be the best player on the field for the team most weeks. That talent has never reaped dividends for the Titans, however, and Britt was benched briefly in the Week 2 overtime loss to the Houston Texans according to Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean. Head coach Mike Munchak aimed to deliver a wakeup call to his best receiver. Wyatt reports that the coaches decided to bench Britt because "they were tired of his mistakes and his lackadaisical approach to blocking." Britt still ended up playing 62 out of 72 offensive snaps but it is still a bad sign that the mercurial wideout is five years into the league and still making errors that infuriate coaches. . His routes have lacked precision and he's been hit with two holding penalties. “I’d love to be involved as much as they want me to be, as much as I’ve been in the past. But as the game rolls out, I am there when they need me,†said Britt. “I am not the coordinator and I am not the quarterback — they decide where the ball goes. I am still ready to go. It is a long season and we have a lot of games to go.†Source:The Redzone
