A year after suffering a horrific leg injury in last year’s preseason, Titans return man Marc Mariani was finally feeling like himself again. Now, he he’s dealing with another setback , and more frustration. Mariani suffered a shoulder injury in Thursday’s game against the Redskins. Coach Mike Munchak said on Saturday he expects Mariani to miss several weeks, a development that certainly hurts his chances of making the team’s 53-man roster. “You get thrown challenges that kind of test you a little bit, and this is one of them. I had a lot of time to think about my leg … and to work that hard, it’s tough. This is definitely going to be a hurdle for me, but it is one of those things I have to deal with and man up and do what the doctors tell me,’’ Mariani said. “Timing is brutal sometimes. I am frustrated and I feel like things were going really well and the leg was feeling better every day. It is just a setback I have to deal with. I don’t have any other choice at this point.†Mariani broke the leg last August while being tackled on a return. Source: The Tennessean
