Lions coach Jim Schwartz said at his end-of-season press conference today that “there is still a window thereâ€￾ for wide receiver Titus Young to return to the team next year.

Young missed the final six games of the season and was placed on injured reserves after repeated behavioral problems on and off the field.

He purposely lined up in the wrong spot late in a November loss to the Packers, was tardy and inattentive at meetings, and got sent home from the team in May after punching teammate Louis Delmas.

“There’s a chance,â€￾ Schwartz said. “There is a process involved there. He’s a very talented player and obviously made a difference when he was on the field and it, particularly with the way the injuries went with Nate Burleson and then later (Ryan) Broyles, it affected the team not having him out there.â€￾
