IMO the list is accurate on some levels. Albert H does deserve the #1 spot and i agree with #2 as mush as i dislike Eli he got the Gmen a Ring so maybe he shouldnt be here Click Here to See the List
peppers cant be overpaid when he hasnt played for the bears yet....he might just blow up in that defense and be worth every penny, something haynesworth failed to do tommy kelly not being on this list is criminal imo
hes a premier player at his position...he makes alot, but he deserves it...he never complains, he hates being a raider but davis gave him a ludicrous deal that won him over
no corner is, but he deserves to be the highest paid (well second highest paid) CB....and he is, so no complaint on my part
Lockdown corners are hard to come by you gotta pay them what you need to in the Raiders case they had to pay him quite a bit.
i think hes made the bulk of that $70 million deal he had. tommy kelly, chris canty, d-hall, leonard davis...just a few names
4 Matt Cassel...i can understand him being on here. but his cap number will drop greatly after this year. the contract 4 him was cheap 4 da Chiefs. the next couple of years are going 2 be important 4 him.
Davis isnt overapid. Dude's been worth every penny For us, William is obvious. Barber is wayyyyyy overpaid. T-New could have gotten more when his deal was up (always been much better than Clements, and would up getting less), but at this stage considering he may be the #2 CB in 2010, he is prolly overpaid too. We've been roughly 50/50 on franchise level contracts, which isnt all that good Good: Romo Ware Davis Bad Barber Hamlin Adams Debateable Gurode Newman Good thing is, I think Barber is the only burdensome crap contract we have to worry about at this point
Cassel should be higher than #4. He's probably more overpaid than Haynesworth considering relative talent levels, production and future potential.
eh, davis was the highest paid player (or lineman or something) when he signed his deal....hes good but hes still a guard. hes a good one, but hes way overpaid at his position
He is #5. i was using the number 4, 4 for lol anyways. The Chiefs had no say so in how much Matt Cassel was 2 be paid. The Pats were smart in franchise tagging him. cuz they didnt want 2 lose him 4 nothing. in return the Chiefs spend a 2nd rounder and a front loaded contract 4 Matt. Meaning after this season or next. He he will be cap friendly 2 cut if he doesnt work out. 4 how much the contracts go for franchised QB's he is cheap.
His contract is six years, $63 million. That's an average of $10.5 million a year. Drew Brees has a six year, $60 million contract. Tom Brady is playing on a six year, $60 million deal. Aaron Rodgers signed a six year, $65 million deal in 2008. Is Aaron Rodgers $0.3 million a year better than Matt Cassel? No, he's far, far better. Cassel = overpaid. Vastly. I still think the decimal point was in the wrong place in a six year, $6.3 million deal.
