In my first article, Top 5 2014 NFL Free Agents by Position: Defense, I ranked my top five unrestricted free agents at each defensive position based on their size and speed ratio age 40 time production mostly from the 2013 season In this article I am analyzing the top five highest paid unrestricted free agents […] Read the whole post here.
Yes you're right. Revis is reportedly getting a 1 year deal worth $12 million. At the time I wrote my first article Revis was still with Tampa Bay. I was only ranking the unrestricted and restricted free agents, so I didn't include him in my second article.
Hey Lebanese, I see the Redskins are interested in Ryan Clark and he did go there for a visit and would be the second time for him to play there. He is 34 years old now, which is past his peak years, but he did have a very productive season with the Steelers in 2013 so he would have to be one of the best free safeties left. Kendrick Lewis is another possibility. He is 25 and played all 4 seasons with the Chiefs. The thing about Lewis is his speed. He was pretty productive last year, but he doesn't have the speed to be real successful in the NFL. Mike Adams is another old guy at 32, just out of his peak years, but had a pretty good year last season with the Broncos. He has good size and speed. My advice to the Redskins is try to sign Clark or Adams at a very low price and draft a free safety in this year's upcoming draft that could learn for a season under one of these older guys.
I know Clark visited, and he shut Redskins fans up by telling them to unfollow him on twitter. Apparently his asking price is too high. I personally want him back. In fact I would like Clark Wright followed by Lewis
Thanks Aussie. The Bears got a good deal with him in my opinion. A good young Free Safety. But, they should have tried to lock him up for more years.
