Despite Pro Bowl defensive end Julius Peppers' demand for a trade months ago, the silence in terms of a corresponding offer has been deafening and according to Charles Chandler of the Charlotte Observer, team officials expect Peppers to play for the Panthers this season. Per the report, the pressure to win immediately under the current regime of coach John Fox and General Manager Marty Hurney is a major factor in not wanting to trade Peppers. And the Panthers expect him to report for training camp in early August.
