i am being offered marion barber for owens straight up. i still have calvin johnson, santana moss & deshaun jackson as wideouts. my rb's are gore, julius jones, ernest graham & darren spoiles.
That's tough. I'd keep Owens. His whiny butt will snitch at Romo if he doesn't get the ball. Plus JJ looks like he's in panic mode. He is running hard.
I wouldn't do it. Stud RB's are hard to come by and at this stage of the game, so are stud WR's. I imagine you aren't going to find Randy Moss or Larry Fitzgerald sitting on the waiver wire anytime soon. You take T.O. out of your line up and your WR's get very weak in my opinion. Moss is garbage. Jackson is doing really really well, but you have to think his numbers will decrease a bit when Kevin Curtis comes back which could be as soon as this week. Calvin Johnson is a stud! However, he's on the Lions...'nuff said? I'd hang onto Owens and go with Gore and whomever is the hotter back at the time out of Graham and Jones... What's the starting team for the other guy look like if you give him Owens?
yeah i'm leaning towards no for those reasons plus i think julius jones is going to start posting some big numbers especially when seattle's passing game gets going and the defenses stop putting 8 men in the box. here what our starters look like now. me e. manning f. gore j. jones t. owens cal. johnson c. cooley scobee bears him d. mcnabb m. barber m. turner b. edwards l. coles j. witten m. prater packers
I'm still afraid Barber will wear down down the stretch. After all, this is the first time he'll carry the load for a full season. That, and Felix Jones is behind him and could steal carries from him. I wouldn't do it.
How is Moss garbage? He has a score in every game so far and has been Campbells favourite reciever. Hes not one of the elite but between him CJ and Jackson he has a good set of recievers and Barber is an upgrade at RB.
I was confused by that comment as well. He is #2 rated rec. in our ppr league. I picked him as free agent after week 1. :icon_cheesygrin:
