Patriots rookie CB Alfonzo Dennard waived his right to a speedy trial on Tuesday and was granted a continuance, pushing his court date to December, according to the Lincoln Journal Star. Dennard was arrested on April 21 following a fight outside a bar in Lincoln, Neb. The former Nebraska Cornhuskers cornerback allegedly pushed and punched an officer trying to break up a scuffle. The Patriots picked Dennard in the seventh round of April’s draft, one week after the arrest. Dennard had mid-round draft grades on him earlier in the draft process. Source: ProFootball Weekly
