The Chicago Bears waived defensive end Vernon Gholston. Gholston registered just one tackle in three preseason games after signing with the Bears July 29. The 6-3, 262-pounder was selected by the New York Jets with the sixth overall pick in the 2008 draft. But he was released in March after failing to record a sack in three seasons. Also waived by the Bears Monday were fourth-year defensive tackle Tank Tyler and three undrafted rookie free agents: quarterback Trevor Vittatoe, center J.C. Brignone and linebacker Tanner Antle. No. The early reports were false. The link was actually taken down and switched to a "Taylor hasn't been traded" story.
