According to nesn.com, RB Kevin Faulk could still return to the Patriots. Faulk, who suffered a knee injury last year, is a free agent this offseason. The report says he'll rehab the knee under the assumption that he'll play in 2011, and if his knee responds the way he hopes, he'll likely give it a go. The report also says Faulk will "have a spot in camp if he wants it," but the Patriots also drafted running backs Shane Vereen of Cal and Stevan Ridley of LSU in the 2011 NFL Draft to go with BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead. Im a huge Kevin Faulk fan. But the Pats backfield is already loaded, and Danny Woodhead is a younger, better version of Faulk. I don't see where he would fit in with his role already filled up. But for Faulks sake I hope the BB finds a way.
I'd love for him to come back as a positional/assistant coach. He'd be a perfect mentor for young runningbacks on the roster.
