The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with free agent tight end John Carlson on a five-year, $25 million contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Adam Caplan of The Sideline View reports Carlson, a native of Litchfield, Minnesota, received $11 million in guaranteed money. Carlson missed the 2011 season with a torn labrum on his shoulder. Despite that injury, and the team signing Zach Miller to a five-year, $34 million contract last August, the Seahawks were looking to keep Carlson for 2012 and beyond. The Kansas City Chiefs were also interested in Carlson. Source: Mac's Football Blog
