The Vikings could be without nickel corner Chris Cook for Sunday’s game against Detroit if his groin injury doesn’t heal according to Jeremy Fowler of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Cook is dealing with a strained groin, I’m told, which means there’s doesn’t appear to be significant damage. But groin injuries can linger, so the Vikings plan to test Cook during Wednesday’s practice to see what he can handle. Cook, a second-year corner who tore the meniscus in both knees as a rookie, left Sunday’s game with the injury in the second quarter. The training staff told coach Leslie Frazier he would be unable to return.
