Vikings DE Jared Allen Welcomes QB Brett Favre

Vikings defensive end Jared Allen doesn't begrudge Brett Favre missing training camp. "Let's be honest," he said, "he's been doing this for a long time, at a very high level. If we're all sitting in Miami, waiting to go on the field for the Super Bowl, think anyone will care if he came here in July? I don't think so." Allen said he trusts coach Brad Childress and the team's executives to make personnel decisions. And, so far, Favre has already gotten people fired up. "I think there's been an energy in the locker room," Allen said. "There's been an excitement."

I saw Allen on PTI about a month ago talking about how if Favre wasn't at camp then he and others didn't want him on the team - I wonder if Favre saw that?
And if come February, Allen & Favre are sitting in Miami waiting to go on the field for the Superbowl I'll eat my freaking hat - if they win the game I will crap in the hat and then eat the whole thing.

 

Maybe they'll be sitting on South Beach drinking Margaritas waiting for the Super Bowl to start sobbing that they're not there??

I'm not saying the Vikes are going to win a SB while Favre is there, but I really think they have a great shot at it in the near future.

 

Yeah, the Vikes look decent but they'll need Percy Harvin to step up and elevate the WR corp to make a real run. Berrian seems to get hurt frequently, but they have a shot for sure.

 

Favre has been helping out Percy with his routes.

Percy already thanked him.
