Vikings coach Brad Childress expressed no real concerns today about Adrian Petersons desire to gain weight but did say he doesnt think the Pro Bowl running back is going to actually add 12 pounds to his frame. Peterson reiterated to reporters on Tuesday night that he would like to enter next season weighing as much as 230 pounds, which would be a 12-pound weight gain. Peterson first talked of putting on 7 to 12 pounds at the Pro Bowl because he feels he could better withstand the punishment he endures over the course of a season if he was bigger. Im thinking hes probably not going to get to 230, nor does he want to be at 230, Vikings coach Brad Childress said today. I would have no trouble telling him that or you.
