Vikings rookie defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd will have an MRI on his injured left knee.

Coach Leslie Frazier says Floyd will have the MRI because of soreness and to "err on the side of caution" after the first-round draft pick was injured in the second quarter of a 27-13 preseason loss to the Houston Texans on Friday night.

Floyd was on the field for Sunday's morning walk-through but won't participate until the team gets the MRI results. Floyd had a tackle for a loss and deflected pass against the Texans.

Maybe for the Cowboys, the best deal is the one you don't make.

He didnt fit anyways. Hes a two gap 1 Tech prospect. Would have been a great pick if we still ran a 3-4. Not so much in a Marinelli DL scheme
