ESPN's Ed Werder is reporting that Vikings quarterback Brett Favre's teammates, as well as Favre now believe his 297-consecutive start streak is likely to end tonight against the Giants. Favre told Werder that the sprained SC joint in his right shoulder has produced a knot the size of a golf ball located between his neck and collarbone and that he's experienced numbness in his right hand all week. Werder notes that for this injury, injection is not advised. Too many arteries and nerves in that specific sternum/clavicle region. Favre said he believes that is the result of both the sprained shoulder itself and the fact it aggravated a pinched nerve in his neck that he's had since the Washington game two weeks ago. Which makes me happy that this is a 1am game over here. I don't think I could stomach seeing it all playing out live.
Like the boy that cried wolf.....when he finally told the truth.....nobody believed him. Favre would be absolutely nuts to even consider playing with this kind of injury. Injection to numb the pain is not an option due to the location of the injury. "The Streak" is likely over.
hey that was my birthday lol im sure there is a reason why i dont remember this lmao :beer3: you know they are going 2 wheel him out and he is going 2 throw a screen play 2 get the start lol
I defenitely believe he won't be playing tonight, with that type of injury and the Giants Dline acting like a bunch of blood thirsty great whites, the outcome won't be pretty
