One of the mentionable awards went to Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who was named NFL Fantasy Player of the Year. Peterson was the most productive player in fantasy football this past season, and he did not have the first-round status he once had in the past. The Vikings' franchise back was coming off a serious ACL injury and his status going into the season was uncertain. The injury he suffered is one of the most notorious in sports, which made it difficult to predict how he would rebound. For many owners, they were able to grab Peterson in the third round or so.
