Minnesota Vikings second year WR Percy Harvin passed out today at practice. It was allegedly triggered when Harvin looked at the sky on a punt return and was almost definitely related to migraine troubles. Harvin was trembling and partially responsive as medical personnel got him off the field. There has been no word on how long he will be out. The WR had a great year last year as a rookie with 60 catches 790 yards and 6 td's. He is also the team's kick returner. Source: Tom Pelissero, Twitter
Migraines are one thing. Syncope from looking at the sun is a completely different thing. I'm diagnosing carotid sinus hypersensitivity syndrome.
I'm no doctor but, "trembling or seizure like movements" can't be a good thing. Prayers go out to Percy.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him be out indefinately until they figure out more about his symptoms.
My mother in law and daughter both have terrible migraines that incapacitate them for a day or two. I've seen firsthand the effects of that. Like the guy above me stated this is above rivalries. I hope they figure out what exactly is wrong with him.
dude has so many health problems. if he keeps playing ball, something is going to happen in a game related to his health .............
I know they want him back on the field, but they can't rush him back, have him suffer a relapse, and then face the possibility of him suing the team.
He wouldn't win if he did. The NFL is very smart about wording in contracts so that it's clear every layer accepts the risks to their health every time they step on the field.
