ESPN.com reports that Vikings rookie wide receiver Percy Harvin has been used in a variety of formations and positions, including out of the backfield, throughout OTAs. We know Harvin has also worked out as a kick returner. It seems unlikely he would get many carries as a running back with Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor in the backfield.

they would be smart to utilize his speed anyway they can

They'll be able to utilize Harvin in a lot of different offensive packages. If he can translate to the NFL level, he's going to give the Vikings some ridiculous options.

Do they mean like the wildcat formation? Cause we use desean that way sometimes its really effective.

yes bib. i read a different article about how they're using harvin and they were saying they are running him out of the wildcat or something similar. it should be interesting. he's definitely a playmaker but it's different finding gaps/holes to run through behind the los than finding open space in a secondary.
