Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said he will not allow his team to quit despite its horrible start and the loss of QB Tony Romo to injury on Monday night. The Cowboys fell to 1-5 after losing to the New York Giants on Monday. It's the team's worst start since 1989, when the Cowboys finished 1-15, but Phillips said he'll continue to motivate his players that it's possible for the team to reach the playoffs. "You know, you didn't sign up to say only if things go good, I'm going to coach or I'm going to play," Phillips said, via the Dallas Morning News. "You signed up for the whole deal. "We're not going to stop right now and give up or quit or whine or even make excuses. You've just got to go forward. That's what we have to do.'' Romo broke his left clavicle and is expected to miss between 6-8 weeks. Jon Kitna will start in his place against the Jaguars this week. Source: USA Today
