Week 8 Who Do I Start Thread (WDIS)

WDIS threads will be posted every Monday. All game times listed are EST, the world's time zone.

Please post any roster questions for week 8 in this thread.

Not sure who to start? Post your questions here. Please do not ask to have your entire lineup filled out for you.

All posts must contain the following information for you to get the best answer:

    * Include your league scoring for the players in question.
    * How many do you start at that position?
    * Who are they playing?

    For example:
WDIS Ricky Williams vs NYJ or DeAngelo Williams @ SD. My other starter is Marion Barber.
We start 2 RBs and get 20yds/pt rushing and receiving, td/6pts.

  2. truelife

    truelife 6-0 is our goal

undecided between to receivers in a ppr league 1 pt every 10 yrds 6 pts td's and 1 pt every catch.

if boldin starts i need to choose between wes welker playing st louis which i know welker is almost a lock for 15 -20 pts due to ppr

or do i start braylon edwards against jacksonville

  3. ketbuckfan

    ketbuckfan Tressel owns Michigan

That is tough due to the inconsistency of the Cleveland offense, but I would select Welker to start.

i am also in a ppr league, but at rb Bush is hurt and I have to decide between Williams (Car), Smith (Det), and I also picked up Thomas (NO) today because of the failed drug test by McCallister.

    Go with Smith.

    20yds/pt rush, 15yd/pt, catch, 6pt/td

I need to pick three from this group:

    Brian Westbrook vs ATL
    Steve Slaton vs CIN
    Maurice Jones-Drew vs CLE
    LenDale White vs IND
    Earnest Graham @ DAL
    Dominic Rhodes @ TEN

Right now I'm going with Westbrook, LenDale, & Slaton.

    Thoughts?

    Mr. D WINNING!!

Favre Vs The Chiefs Or Trent Vs The Dolphins

    ??

Quick question must be answered by the time I get back from the bar for my final choice

    Brett Favre vs the Chiefs

    or

    Trent Edwards vs the Dolphins

these are my two QB's on this one league and I'm both projected points are to close to each other, which should I choose to start for me this week

    Mike Want some Cheetos?

    Id start Trent

  7. Jihad Joe

    Jihad Joe Life to Infidels

Trent seems like a safe guy. Wont score you huge, but will get you a set amount of points

On the other side, the Farve matchup looks good, and he can get you huge games

IMO it depends on how strong you think you will do this week. If you feel you are gonna need 20+ from your QB, go with Farve

In my league. Edwards has scored 12, 11x3, and 14

    Farve has scored 17, 9, 18, 34, 5 and 3

you have to start favre against KC, as much as I like edawards this week, favre is the guy

    Brian Westbrook vs ATL
    Steve Slaton vs CIN
    Maurice Jones-Drew vs CLE

dont believe the hype of lendale's week last week. it was KC

I would also roll with Smith of that group, Thomas will be a nice pickup if deuce gets suspended, but it won't be this week.

Welker, cleveland's oline is hurting and are going to be without their starting RT this week which will hurt the offense in general. Also, no winslow means extra men keying in on edwards.

  11. Mike

    Mike Want some Cheetos?

    Matt Schaub vs Cincy
Drew Brees vs Chargers *in london*

    Completions (.5)
Passing Yards (20 yards per point)
    Passing Touchdowns (6)
    Interceptions (-2)

missing bush is huge for that offense. Also, I have to expect that defensive backfield of the chargers to get thier crap together at some point, and as I alluded to earlier, without bush, that offense is extremely one dimensional, that being said, I would still go with brees as I never bench my studs

Last week was huge but beyond that the guy has scored every week but one this season. 30yds rushing and a TD is still better than another RB getting 100yds rushing and no TD. LenDale ain't glamorous but the motherhecker leads the NFL in TDs. That's my only concern with benching him.

i hear ya WR, but the other choices are just so much better, I could understand if it was lendale vs a questionable start, but MJD, Slaton and westy are must starts.
