Deadspin has been running a great series on the ballparks of MLB called Why Your Stadium Sucks. Why Your Stadium Sucks: Citi Field Why Your Stadium Sucks: Fenway Park Why Your Stadium Sucks: Safeco Field Why Your Stadium Sucks: Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome Why Your Stadium Sucks: U.S. Cellular Field Why Your Stadium Sucks: Miller Park Why Your Stadium Sucks: Busch Stadium Why Your Stadium Sucks: Oriole Park At Camden Yards Why Your Stadium Sucks: Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Why Your Stadium Sucks: Rangers Ballpark In Arlington Why Your Stadium Sucks: Angel Stadium Why Your Stadium Sucks: Wrigley Field Why Your Stadium Sucks: Nationals Park Why Your Stadium Sucks: AT&T Park
Yeah, the argument against Camden Yards was pretty weak. Didn't have a lot to do with the actual stadium. The new Hilton in the background sucks ass, but the article doesn't even mention it.
The articles focus on stadium experience as much as the stadiums itself. I rather enjoy the series thus far.
The main reason why Rangers Ballpark sucks is that it's a hitters ball park. Which is the main reason why the Rangers can't get a big-time pitcher like Roy Halliday to come and pitch for them.
