Anyone else following this? Italy with an incredible start with the comeback win over Mexico yesterday, and then invoking the mercy rule on Canada today. Dominican Republic is stacked and going to be tough to beat.
I did watch a couple games last weekend: Japan vs Brazil and Japan vs China. I don't have the MLB Network where I live so I can't watch any more games.

they drill the other team because they bunted to get a guy on base down 9-3 and bunting down by 6 is considered taboo ........... some of the unwritten baseball 'rules' are stupid as crap.
The only time I think it's wrong to bunt is during the late innings when the pitcher has a no hitter going. Other than that, bunt away.
It isn't even applicable here. It's considered bush in the MLB but here pool tiebreakers go to most runs scored so there is a distinct advantage in scoring as many runs as possible.
