Ya know, I've been thinking about both of those. I wonder how many others left early. Jeter was there til the end. I think it would have been nice to have SOME Yankee represent them in the HR derby. It wasnt gonna be Jeter....but I guess the whole 'screwing up the swing' argument would come into play. But leaving early? Come on man. Its not only the All-Star game, but a celebration of your stadium, team, etc. And he bounces early. Kind of a slap in the face to NY and Yankee fans I'd say... I wouldnt go to that heckers party either.
