Alex Rodriguez has one more reason to hope the Yankees make the playoffs.

The scandal-stained slugger’s appeal of his 211-game doping suspension will begin on Sept. 30, the day after Major League Baseball’s regular season ends, Newsday reported on Friday. But the hearing would be rescheduled if the Yankees reach the postseason so Rodriguez could attend the hearing in front of arbitrator Frederic Horwitz.

Yankee sources told the Daily News that they were not aware that the hearing had been scheduled.

Does it honestly matter what the outcome is? We'll never hear the end of this regardless.
