Free-agent LB Zach Thomas says he has played his last NFL game and would "love to'' sign with Miami for one day so he can retire as a Dolphin. "I'm a Dolphin for life.'' Thomas, who has an unresolved grievance against Kansas City over his release last September, said he's still having symptoms from concussions, "including fuzziness when it gets cold.'' A player who had a career nobody expected. He didn't look the part but he willed his way to becoming one of the NFL's best at middle linebacker. Only problem was he didn't know when to step away. He won't be remembered for his time with the Chiefs and Cowboys though. This Dolphin great is up there with Nick Buoniconti as the team's best at the position.
