DT Randy Starks: Resigning Starks was key for this team's defensive front. Starks is great against the run and can get to the quarterback. Good job resigning Starks!
DT Earl Mitchell: Many NFL fans may not have heard of Earl Mitchell, but trust me, Dolphins fans will greatly appreciate his play on the field this upcoming NFL season. Mitchell is stout against the run. He is also entering his prime at the young age of 26. The Dolphins needed to get younger at the DT position. Solid pickup here.
CB Cortland Finnegan: I understand the Dolphins defense wants to be physical, there is nothing wrong with that, but at the same time you need players that can also still play at a high level. Finnegan is done, he needs to retire. He was so bad last year for the Ram and was consistently getting beat every week. Bad signing here, especially if they feel he is going to be a starter.
T Branden Albert: Prior to this off-season we all knew that the Dolphins needed a premier tackle. The Dolphins believe that Albert is that guy. I disagree, yes he is solid but not great as his pass blocking skills have diminished the last couple of years. Who knows, maybe a change of scenery might help him get back on track.
