We all like NFL video footage from the past right? Video coverage with a bit of antiquity sprinkled about, displaying various forms of unimaginable feats from our favorite teams, or players.
But what if the video has nothing to do with players or teams at all? What if the video has everything to do with—oh, I don’t know—let’s say a head coach?
Well have I got a little piece of NFL history for you.
Now, I’m sure there are a good portion of fans who are already familiar with this, but for those of you who aren’t, you’re in for a treat.
The NFL has orchestrated a “re-birth” of their Punt, Pass, Kick competition in recent years as most of you know. I say a re-birth, only because this competition was actually started in 1961 but basically fell by the "limelight-wayside" up until 1992.
So what’s the big deal, right? A bunch of kids who won the competition in each age bracket being put on display and presented to thousands of fans for their (the kids) moment of adoration and glory. Or, if you’re lucky enough to catch it, a total broadcast of the competition prior to their grandiose ceremony.
But this particular video is something of a different sort.
Need a hint? His team lost to the Green Bay Packers at the start of the postseason, and he recently made it clear that QB Michael Vick is—for now—the “future” of the Philadelphia Eagles.
You got it! Andy Reid.
But for those of you who have not yet witnessed this atrocious display of unfair advantage, you must remember this is actually the man behind the Philadelphia Eagles. Not only did he compete, in this particular section, he actually challenged the official, and lost.
Take a good hard look at the size advantage, and demeanor of the kid behind him as if he was saying: “REALLY? What’s the point? This guy was fed a daily regimen of Miracle Grow and meatloaf; there’s no way any of us can win.
Just a little pre Super Bowl fun for you to witness, so enjoy!
