Chicago White Sox 2B Gordon Beckham got off to a miserably slow start this year, fighting the Mendoza line and playing time.
However, Beckham's numbers have mirrored the red-hot White Sox over the past month, and with lots of middle infielders like Chase Utley heading to the DL and others like Casey McGehee slowing down, it might be time to consider Beckham as a legit fantasy starter at 2B again.
In July, Beckham is hitting .353 with a .371 OBP and .989 OPS, including two home runs and five RBI. His biggest improvement has been in plate discipline; after being plagued with strikeouts early in the season, he has whiffed only four times in 34 at-bats entering Sunday's action in July.
