IDP Waiver Wire Week 2

September 9, 2014 by Jad Alameddine

IDP waiver week 2 wires are here, Week 1 is behind us, some of you lost big names this weekend. Jadeveon Clowney, Derrick Johnson and a few more concussion to several guys… Good luck in week 2

Jad @LebaneseFF

At LB

  1. Emmanuel Lamur (CIN): Vontaze suffered a concussion and will have to go through the protocol in order to play again, Step in Mr. Lamur he will be a LB1 and is a must pick up for all Vontaze owners
  2. Curtis Lofton (NOS) : Towards the end of last year I became a big fan of Curtis Lofton. Week 1 proved to me that he will be a LB1. If you are looking for an LB1 Curtis will get you 100 tackles this year and a few big plays.
  3. Jamie Collins (NE): Was on the field for most of the game and had a big game with 8 tackles and a forced fumble.
  4. CJ Mosley & Daryl Smith (BAL) : Both these guys played every snap on Sunday, that in IDP is a great sign. CJ Mosley racked up 7 total tackles and Daryl Smith 9 total tackles. However both these guys are LB2’s and I wouldn’t expect 100 tackles for the season from either of them
  5. Larry Foot (ARZ): Starting in the Daryl Washington position, Larry is going to see plenty of tackles, a lower end LB1 but I would add him if he is available and you don’t have anyone better.
  6. Rolando McLain (DAL) Someone needs to do the tackling in Dallas, LB2
  7. Josh Mauga (KC) He is taking Derrick Johnson spot at MLB for Kansas and had 8 tackles in week 1. Could be a sneaky LB2

At DT, DL

  1. Everson Griffen (MIN): I’ve talked about this guy before the season started and he came through, this kid is going to be huge pick him up now as a DL1. Had 2 sacks on the night
  2. Linval Joseph (MIN) : Like Everson Griffen he had a huge game for Minnesota. He will be a huge part of Zimmers defense and a very good pick up especially if you have to start DT’s
  3. Ezekiel Ansah (DET): He only recorded half a sack and 1 tackle but he showed he can pressure and is always a threat to sack I still have him listed a DL1

At DB:

  1. D.J. Swearinger (HOU): Had a huge game for Houston with 8 tackles, 1 sack and 1 Forced Fumble. He will be the main guy in Houston to put up tackles. DB1
  2. Donte Whitner (CLE) : The Cleveland Defense is going to be on the field a lot this year and I like Donto Whiner to put up 120+ tackles this season a must pick up in ALL FORMATS
  3. Stevie Brown (NYG): He had 9 tackles vs Detroit and is a solid safety for the Giants and for your team, pick him up as DB2
