Last week wasn’t my best, but it certainly wasn’t my worst. The lineup I provided you guys scored 147.64 points, which won a few 50/50s, and lost a few 50/50s. Ill take the loss here even though I won the majority of my games because I didn’t win everyone money.
The Rodgers/Jordy stack hit and Kelvin exploded in the 4th quarter. The Cardinals had a solid day, especially for the price. Ingram didn’t play well, but he caught seven balls to mask his substandard rushing totals. Mathews, Julio and Kelce whiffed and Rivera gave you decent value for what was essentially a punt play.
On to this week:
QB: Andrew Luck - $9700
RB: Denard Robinson - $5600
RB: Isaiah Crowell - $3800
WR: Josh Gordon - $6300
WR: A.J. Green - $7300
WR: Reggie Wayne - $5400
TE: Larry Donnell - $3900
FLEX: Jarvis Landry - $4400
DEF: 49ers - $3100
Total Spent: $49500, $500 remaining
QB: Andrew Luck vs JAX - $9700
The last time these two teams squared off, Luck went for 370 and four scores in a blowout. With Bradshaw out, I expect the Colts to rely heavily on the pass game and try to run up the score early to mask the faults in their run game.
RB1: Denard Robinson @ IND - $5600
In his four games as a starter, Robinson has averaged over 5.5 yards per carry in three of those. In the one game he only averaged 4.0 YPC, he scored two touchdowns in London against a stingy Cowboys run defense. Even if they get destroyed against the Colts, the Jags won’t abandon the run to keep their franchise quarterback upright.
RB2: Isaiah Crowell @ ATL - $3800
Huge caveat on this one: if West starts, switch them. Crowell gets the slot for now to ensure there’s enough money in the budget for both of them. This matchup is too juicy on the ground not to take advantage of. Even if either doesn’t get into the endzone, I still expect plenty of yardage and reception opportunities.
WR1: Josh Gordon @ ATL - $6300
He’s back and he better be in your lineup at this price. His upside is far too big not to take a chance on him for this cheap. I expect huge ownership numbers, so even if he doesn’t live up to your standards, he won’t hurt you as badly because almost everyone is going to play him too.
WR2: A.J. Green @ HOU - $7300
After a miserable performance against the Browns two weeks ago, Green looked like the old Green again last week against the Saints. When healthy, Green is capable of taking over games and dropping massive stat lines. Even if he doesn’t get into the endzone, 6+ catches for 100+ yards is a nice day with upside for way, way more.
WR3: Reggie Wayne vs JAX - $5400
I love this stack with Luck here because Luck needs someone to rely on for easy yards. With no Bradshaw, I don’t see T-Rich being that security blanket for Luck, so he will look Wayne’s way more often in this one. Could have a monster PPR day without sniffing the endzone.
TE: Larry Donnell vs DAL - $3900
Matchup. Dallas bleeds points to the tight end and gave up seven catches for 90 yards to Donnell last time they faced off in Dallas. There’s not much else here in this price range other than Martellus, but I think Donnell is slightly safer because of the success he already had against the Cowboys.
FLEX: Jarvis Landry @ DEN - $4400
Landry has 5+ catches in three straight weeks plus two touchdowns in that span. Tannehill and Wallace still look like they are not entirely on the same page, opening the door for Landry to get more targets as a security blanket with the potential for more. I expect a shootout and that gives Landry a ton of upside with a nice floor of 5+ catches.
DEF: 49ers vs WSH - $3100
Aldon Smith got the rust off last week and should wreak havoc on the Redskins. RG3 let the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS DEFENSE drop 22 points on DraftKings last week. I’ll take my chances that the Niners can do something similar or even better this week. Plus that picture should have you salivating.
