In this week's Week 12 Waiver Wire Quarterbacks article, you don't have very many options left to choose from. None of these players are truly starter worthy. Yes they will help you with depth or are decent options if you can start two quarterbacks. But with the fantasy football playoffs only a few weeks away, I wouldn't count on any of these guys making your team THAT much better. I've seen a few sites say "Pick up Nick Foles." If you need to be told to pick up Foles by now, then you should probably rethink your status as a true fantasy owner.

Matt McGloin - Raiders (Owned Percentage – ESPN .2%/Yahoo 1%)
Looks like several owners took a chance and picked up McGloin this week, even though most of us figured he'd be destined to fail against the Texans. Not only did McGloin look better than expected, but he got the Raiders a win. Yeah the Texans' questionable benching of Case Keenum had a little something to do with that. But regardless, McGloin looked good for his first start. Throwing for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns, McGloin looked like an NFL starter, showing better-than average arm strength and made good throws. McGloin should start again in Week 12 against the Titans, even if Terrell Pryor's knee is healthy. But like I wrote in the intro, he's nothing more than a low-end QB2.
Carson Palmer - Cardinals (Owned Percentage – ESPN 8.9%/Yahoo 34%)
Palmer had the matchup in his favor, but it was one of those situations where I couldn't rank him any higher than a mid-tier QB2 for the simple fact that it's Palmer. But against the Jags, Palmer had time in the pocket. Which, in turn, helped him put up his best statistical game of the season with 419 passing yard. He also notched his 3rd-straight game of two touchdowns. If Palmer can get the same type of protection out of his offensive line, he could make a small comeback. I wouldn't bet money on it though. However, he could be used in a pinch if you need help for the Week 12 bye week as he faces the Colts.
E.J. Manuel - Bills (Owned Percentage – ESPN 10.6%/Yahoo 8%)
Against one of our sleeper defenses, Manuel looked good against the Jets. He threw an impressive 245 yards and 2 touchdowns. Which was even more impressive considering both Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods were out with injury. Manuel should go back to what he was before: a QB2 that is better off being owned in 2-quarterback leagues.
Scott Tolzien - Packers (Owned Percentage – ESPN 1.6%/Yahoo 3%)
The matchup was right for Tolzien to be a decent bye-week option. His yards were there after tossing up 339 against the Giants secondary, but his 3 picks were a killer. It's doubtful that Aaron Rodgers will be ready for Week 12, which will give Tolzien another plus matchup against the Vikings.
