Well folks, here is what most of us have been waiting for and playing all year for: the start of the 2011 Fantasy Football Playoffs!
Hopefully you are there in your league and if so I hope this rankings can help you somehow.
This week I am starting Alterraun Verner in a couple leagues. This is a risky play since his value is a bit diminished if Jason McCourty plays. However, McCourty is dealing with post-concussion symptoms and missed last week and is yet to practice this week. Combine that with the Titans' matchup against the pass-happy Saints and it is a recipe for success for Verner. Even if McCourty plays, the Saints play three or four WR sets often enough for Verner to have some significant value. He is currently ranked 4th in the 2011 Week 14 DB Rankings.
Also keep an eye on Patrick Chung. He may or may not play this week, but if he does he should resume his top-10 potential. He has been a game-time decision for a couple weeks and has not played, so he is risky. Be careful and monitor the inactives.
