The NFL season and fantasy football season are both drawing to a close. It is safe to say that wide receiver has been the least volatile position in 2015. There have been multiple waiver wire gems and few catastrophic injuries compared to the other positions. The stud wide receivers will look to finish strong (although it looks like Odell Beckham Jr. will be suspended for week 16. Meanwhile, we’ll be combing through the dirt for some diamonds in the rough. Here is a glance at the recommendations from last week and then we move on to a couple of receivers that could be difference makers in the championship.
Week 15 Recap (Standard League Points)
• Tyler Lockett SEA - 11 pts
• Dorial Green-Beckham TEN - 11 pts
• Malcolm Floyd SD - 2 pts
Lockett had another nice game in week 15; Russell Wilson is as locked in as any quarterback in the league right now. Dorial Green-Beckham topped 100 yards receiving, but he lost his starting quarterback for the rest of the season. Floyd was disappointing despite the Chargers offense coming alive (how about that Danny Woodhead).

Week 16 Picks
Rueben Randle NYG
The Giants are still scratching and clawing to try for a playoff spot in the awful NFC East. This is going to be much harder as star wideout Odell Beckham Jr. was suspended for 1 game. This means that Randle will be the de facto number one receiver on a desperate team. The Vikings are not awful versus the pass, but Manning is probably going to be throwing it a lot as the Giants cannot run the ball with consistency. Dwayne Harris and Will Tye will probably see an uptick in targets as well, but Randle has the upside.
DeVante Parker MIA
Parker has been solid over the last few weeks despite a weak showing against the Giants in week 14. Aside from that game, he has been in double digit fantasy points 3 of the last four weeks. In week 16 the Dolphins will be travelling to Indy to take on the Colts and their terrible defense. Tannehill should have time to throw and the receivers should have little trouble getting open. With Parker emerging as one of the quarterback’s go-to guys, this should mean another solid fantasy performance. I think that a conservative estimate of 55 yards and a score is well within the realm of possibility for Parker as long as the Colts can score a few points and make the ‘fins throw the ball.
Markus Wheaton PIT
Since returning from the bye week, Wheaton has been an integral part of the Steelers’ passing game. There was a lot of hype going into the year about how Wheaton would flourish in the early going without Martavis Bryant. That obviously did not happen, but the young receiver is on track now. With touchdowns in three of the past four games, Wheaton is one of the players that Roethlisberger is looking for when he wants to throw. Baltimore is one of the worst in the league against the pass and Wheaton should have plenty of opportunities for another productive game on Sunday.
