All updated projections for the most current NFL season are here: weekly Yahoo projections - weekly DraftKings projections - weekly Fanduel projections.
Preparing for week 4 on Draftkings or Fanduel daily fantasy football comes down to picking a defense/st that mismatches best with an offense. Since less of a premium is placed on defense in Draftkings, there is less of a variation in price among teams you can pick. Below are the defenses that are facing favorable matchups in week 4.
New England Patriots ($3,500) New England@Kansas City
The Patriot's defense is coming into the game allowing only 168.7 yards passing per game. Meanwhile, the Chiefs passing game is only managing 197.7 yards per game. This means that Alex Smith and the Chiefs receivers can likely expect a game far less than 200 yards passing. The Chiefs will have to rely more so on Knile Davis and the running game against a New England team that is only allowing 104 yards rushing per game.
Atlanta Falcons ($3,200) Atlanta@Minnesota
The Falcons defense will have an advantage against a rookie quarterback (Teddy Bridgewater) in week 4 and against a Viking's offense that is having trouble putting points on the board. The Falcons came up with 1 interception, 3 sacks and held Tampa Bay to just 217 yards of total offense in week 3. Expect at least a sack and an interception of Bridgewater and a low scoring affair for the Vikings in general.
San Diego Chargers ($3,100) Jacksonville@San Diego
A Chargers player (or whole defense in this case) can just about be played at any position in your lineup this week because the matchup is just far too good to pass up. You have a really good offense and a pretty good defense against the worst defense and a pretty bad offense with a rookie starting in week 4. The Jacksonville Jaguars are serious underdogs in this matchup and for good reason. Jacksonville is among the worst teams in the categories of rushing yards/game, passing yards/game and points scored/game. Blake Bortles may or may not give that offense a boost this week but the odds are against him either way.
Detroit Lions ($3,000) Detroit@New York Jets
The Lions are only allowing 180.7 yards passing and 63.7 yards rushing per game this season. A very underrated Detroit defense will be facing a mistake prone Geno Smith and a Jets team that is below average in scoring points.
Chicago Bears ($2,900) Green Bay@Chicago
This matchup doesn't sound right when you say it out loud but on paper it looks great for the Bears. It may surprise some that Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are among the worst 10 teams in rushing yards/game and points/game. That offense has also only been managing 210.7 passing yards each game. The Bear's defense isn't the greatest but this is a week where you can expect a better than average performance from the group.
Pittsburgh Steelers ($2,900) Tampa Bay@Pittsburgh
Last week Tampa Bay was crushed by the Falcons. Tampa Bay's offense didn't even score until the 4th quarter and only managed 217 yards of total offense. Can we expect a similar result with Pittsburgh? Can't imagine it will be as much of a blowout as last week but I can't imagine it being a close game either.
