Week 6 WR Rankings: Hakeem Nicks To Play?

October 9, 2012 by Kurt Turner

Don't count out Hakeem Nicks just yet!

In the Week 6 WR Rankings one of the bigger questions is whether or not Giants WR Hakeem Nicks will in fact play against San Francisco. The word is as of now (Tuesday evening) Nicks will certainly be given the green light if he makes it through the week without complications or swelling in that troublesome knee and foot.

Keep checking back here for further updates.

Let's get right to this week's rankings. I'm trying a new format that I think will be and easier read for everyone out there, so i hope you like it.

Ready?

1 Calvin Johnson (DET at PHI)

Top choice this week against an Eagles D that has been hot and cold.

2 A.J. Green (CIN at CLE)

Just ever so slightly comes in second.

3 Percy Harvin (MIN at WAS)
4 Larry Fitzgerald (ARI vs BUF)
5 Julio Jones (ATL vs OAK)
6 Roddy White (ATL vs OAK)
7 Victor Cruz (NYG at SF)
8 Wes Welker (NE at SEA)
9 Andre Johnson (HOU vs GB)

The Pack showed defensive signs of weakness that Johnson should be able to exploit.

10 Reggie Wayne (IND at NYJ)

Wayne is most definitely back to Top 10 fantasy status.

11 Demaryius Thomas (DEN at SD)
12 Dwayne Bowe (KC at TB)
13 Miles Austin (DAL at BAL)
14 Antonio Brown (PIT at TEN)
15 Mike Wallace (PIT at TEN)
16 DeSean Jackson (PHI vs DET)

Jackson should help turn this game into a possible shootout.

17 Eric Decker (DEN at SD)
18 Vincent Jackson (TB vs KC)
19 Torrey Smith (BAL vs DAL)
20 Steve Johnson (BUF at ARI)
21 Jordy Nelson (GB at HOU)

Tough matchup here, but Nelson should be utilized early and often.

22 Malcom Floyd (SD vs DEN)
23 Dez Bryant (DAL at BAL)
24 Brandon Lloyd (NE at SEA)
25 Jeremy Maclin (PHI vs DET)
26 Denarius Moore (OAK at ATL)

Al lot of deep-ball action could be on tap.

27 Brian Hartline (MIA vs STL)
28 Greg Jennings (GB at HOU)    ********* If he plays, put him here ***********
29 Michael Crabtree (SF vs NYG)
30 Pierre Garcon (WAS vs MIN)
31 Anquan Boldin (BAL vs DAL)
32 Donnie Avery (IND at NYJ)

Watch for Avery to quietly have a monster game.

33 Kenny Britt (TEN vs PIT)
34 Hakeem Nicks (NYG at SF)
35 Mike Williams (TB vs KC)
36 Nate Washington (TEN vs PIT)
37 Andre Roberts (ARI vs BUF)
38 Randall Cobb (GB at HOU)
39 Kendall Wright (TEN vs PIT)
40 Domenik Hixon (NYG at SF)
41 Nate Burleson (DET at PHI)
42 Davone Bess (MIA vs STL)
43 Robert Meachem (SD vs DEN)
44 Sidney Rice (SEA vs NE)
45 Jeremy Kerley (NYJ vs IND)
46 Mario Manningham (SF vs NYG)
47 Andrew Hawkins (CIN at CLE))

Hawkins could be a solid sleeper start this week if you are out of options.

48 Jerome Simpson (MIN at WAS)
49 Brandon Gibson (STL at MIA)
50 James Jones (GB at HOU)

That's it for the Week 6 WR rankings, and be sure to check out all of our weekly rankings here.
