Week 7 RB Rankings: Raheem Mostert and Ito Smith Primed For Takeoff

October 18, 2018 by Kurt Turner

This weeks running back rankings are brought to you by none other than the bye-week filler himself, me. David Hess is under the weather so I'm stepping in to ensure your lineups are ready to roll in week 7. The top 13 running backs are a lock, no question they are your starters this week. Once we get past that zone things start to get a little foggy. I'm going to break down my top picks with the most upside and a couple guys I've got my eyes on this week.

All Eyes on Raheem Mostert

Mostert was given a chance last week over Alfred Morris, and boy did that work out. But I'm watching him close, as in the game, to see what he can do this week vs the Rams. If he can split time with Breida again it will increase my confidence as an as-needed spot filler. It's tight in several league I'm in and I already added him.

Ito Smith is Boring

But in touchdown leagues he's a solid pickup. I'm looking for Atlanta to expand his roll with each passing week. But even once at full capacity I'm pretty sure his value has already peaked as Atlanta's goal-line back. He's a RB2.5 this week. Upgrade to RB2 with a solid 12 to 15 touch performance.

The Week 7 Rankings

I'm very interested to see how CIN uses Giovani Bernard this week. Some more players I'll be checking on throughout the week are: Tarik Cohen, Dalvin Cook, Marlon Mack, Wendell Smallwood and Jamaal Charles. Those picks are my upside surprise picks. Fournette is listed way down at the bottom of the rankings, but if he ends up playing I'll move him up for sure!
