As Week 9 gets underway, we start off by acknowledging the "Old Guys" who are still putting up numbers.
This week I am starting both London Fletcher and Ray Lewis over some of their younger counterparts. Fletcher is ranked 3rd in the Week 9 IDP LB Rankings after burning up the Bills for 20 tackles last week. Yes his Redskins got destroyed, but Fletcher did all he could do. This week he plays a SF team that loves to the run the football as well.
Lewis always seems to step his game up when he plays the Steelers and this is that week. This game is not just for bragging rights. If the Ravens win they will hold the tie breaker over the Steelers and will take over the division lead. This is a big game and Ray shows up in the big ones.
Lastly, I am starting DeMarcus Ware until further notice. He has 12 sacks in only seven games and he brought down Michael Vick four times last week. This week he faces a leaky Seattle OL and should have another multi-sack game.
Keep DeMeco Ryans and Sean Lee on your benches if you can afford to this week. Both are dealing with their own ailments and are just not performing the way IDPers would like lately. If you have better options, do not hesitate to sit them down.
