49ers Pro Bowl linebacker Patrick Willis had to be helped off the field late in Sunday's 24-13 loss to the Vikings after being injured at the bottom of a scrum for a loose ball. Willis left the locker room before reporters could talk to him, and coach Jim Harbaugh did not offer any information other than Willis had not yet had X-rays. Willis walked off the field gingerly but was not limping after the game. He missed four games last year with a hamstring injury. Larry Grant filled in well during that stretch, even coming up with a game-saving forced fumble in Week 16. Source: Sporting News
