It has been widely speculated that the Philadelphia Eagles' hire of former Oregon coach Chip Kelly could lead to future employment opportunities for Ravens practice squad quarterback Dennis Dixon.

Dixon has been hoping that he could play for Kelly, who was his offensive coordinator at Oregon when he was a Heisman Trophy candidate.

Now that the Super Bowl is over and Dixon's practice squad contract has expired, he's already talking with the Eagles.

Agent Jeff Sperbeck told The Baltimore Sun that he's in talks with the Eagles about potentially working out a deal for Dixon.

Dixon's father reiterated to The Sun while attending the Super Bowl that his son was hoping to reunite with Kelly in Philadelphia, praising Kelly's innovative, fast-break offensive schemes.
