Auburn RB Tre Mason breaks Bo Jackson's rushing record

    Tre Mason delivered everything but the national title for the Auburn Tigers.

    Mason rushed for 195 yards on 34 attempts -- including a 37-yard touchdown run to give the Tigers a 31-27 lead with 1:19 left -- but it wasn't enough to prevent a 34-31 loss to No. 1 Florida State on Monday night in the VIZIO BCS National Championship Game.

    In the process, Mason broke Bo Jackson's school record of 1,786 yards rushing set during his 1985 Heisman season, and the Tigers finished the season as the first SEC team to lead the nation in rushing.
