Gabe Carimi sat out this year's organized team activities for the Chicago Bears, which shouldn't be a huge deal because they are "voluntary." But Carimi, 2011 first-round pick, is under the spotlight this offseason because he's a high profile player that might not be a lock to even make the team this year. Skipping work isn't exactly the best way to impress new bosses, but Carimi will indeed be at the team's mandatory minicamp next week. ESPNChicago.com reported Friday that Carimi will be at work next week. General manager Phil Emery indicated this week the Bears expected him to be at minicamp, although he wasn't entirely sure. "That'll be up to Gabe," Emery said. "You may want to ask him that. I'm assuming that he will be." Source: NFL.com
