Andrew Hawkins was seen in the locker room on Saturday on crutches and with his ankle in a cast. Coach Marvin Lewis said that Hawkins will be in the cast for another 10 days and that they will assess their options from there. Considering Kyle Cook’s injury last year, that means it is more than likely that Hawkins could open the year on injured reserve with a designation to return. That means Hawkins could come back before the Week 9 game at Miami, but since that game is on a Thursday night, he would have only one practice.
