The Buffalo Bills have one game left to play this season, and when they take on the New York Jets on Sunday, they'll be without two players on their current 53-man roster: defensive end Mark Anderson and strong safety Da'Norris Searcy.

Buffalo had an empty roster spot thanks to their placing Scott Chandler on Injured Reserve earlier this week; they filled it by promoting receiver Kevin Elliott from the practice squad.

That means the season is over for Anderson, who signed a four-year, $19.5 million contract this off-season, appeared in just five games, and had more knee surgeries (two) than sacks (one) this season. Depending on how much change the team is willing to handle, the Bills could opt to cut Anderson in March, save his $1.5 million option bonus, and move on across from Mario Williams. Time will tell on that front; the status of GM Buddy Nix will go a long way toward figuring that out.
