Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson was fined $30,000 for his helmet-to-helmet hit on New York Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland, according to multiple reports. Goldson was flagged on the play for a personal foul after leading with his helmet to disrupt a pass intended for Cumberland. The Jets tight end had to leave the game to receive stitches in his chin. Cumberland was considered a “defenseless†receiver on the play which led to the personal foul call.
