The San Diego Chargers have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with free agent defensive tackle Antonio Garay, Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal reports. Financial terms were not disclosed. A 2003 sixth round pick out of Boston College by the Cleveland Browns, Garay appeared in just 16 games between his rookie season and 2009, spending time with the Browns, Chicago Bears and New York Jets before joining the Chargers in 2009. The 32-year-old Garay has started 28 of 32 games over the last two seasons, totaling 105 tackles and eight sacks. Returning to San Diego would likely mean Garay will have to earn the starting job from 2010 fifth round pick Cam Thomas, who narrowed the playing-time gap and set a career-high with 20 tackles and four sacks in 2011.
